ONLINE HELP: Network or Browser problems with this site

NHTSA has become aware of occasional network connectivity problems experienced by users attempting to connect to its web sites. We have recently identified this problem as being related to security restrictions enforced at our firewall which were denying users access to HTTPS connections within NHTSA. Adjustments have been made which allow HTTPS connections and which should now properly allow connections to all current NHTSA/OCR web servers.

> Apparent web browser problems

NHTSA/NRD recently updated some of the server software that it uses to operate its web sites. As a consequence, users with older browsers may experience problems when trying to connect to either of www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov or www-ihra.nhtsa.dot.gov. If this is the case for you, our recommendation is that you upgrade your browser to the most recent version available from your browser vendor. In particular, we know that versions of Netscape 3.0 or later, MSIE 3.0 or later, and Lynx 2.6 or later seem to NOT encounter any problems with our web sites.
